Floree D. Lowder Bethea, widow of William Bethea Sr., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, from COVID.
Born on Nov. 15, 1932, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Leon Clyde Lowder and Inez Scurry Lowder.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bill Bethea of Eastover; granddaughters, Christel Coleman (Greg) and Jenny Richardson (KC), both of Lugoff; great-grandchildren, Leilah Truell (Trey), Andrew Gainey, Luke, Caleb and Jase Richardson; and sisters, Joan Jackson (Sammie) and Gertrude Morris (Wayne).
She was predeceased by one sister and five brothers.
She was a devoted member of Calvary Bible Church and retired from Pages Uniforms and the Marwin Co. She was an outstanding mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and deeply loved her family.
A private service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to the current number of COVID cases, a memorial service will be held at Calvary Bible Church at a later date.
