ISAAC RUFUS SR.

Isaac Rufus Sr., son of the late Aaron Charlie Rufus and Ida Watts Rufus and beloved husband of Virginia Cook Rufus, was born on Sept. 17, 1957, in Bishopville, South Carolina. He passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter. He was a devoted man whose kindness and love were unwavering to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, children, family, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, at Pine Grove AME Church, Rembert, with the Rev. Lorenzo Dinkins, pastor.

Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Stuckey Town Road, Rembert.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 47 Cooks Lane, Dalzell.
