It's not too late to reserve your plate for Geraldine Singleton's New Year's dinner giveaway.

The beloved local cook has already gotten donations and calls for her New Year's dinners, including Hoppin' John, collard greens, chicken or ham and delicious sweet potato pie. This meal - and nearly every holiday meal she's cooked for the past few years - was successful because of the willingness of community members.

"I could not do it without their support," she shared.

Meals will be available on Saturday, Dec. 30.
