JOHN ROWLAND CHESTNUT SR.

John Rowland Chestnut Sr., 76, husband of Udetta Ford Chestnut, and son of the late Rev. James William Chestnut and Lucille Manning Chestnut, was born on March 8, 1948, in Sumter. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 3-7 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Julius McDowell officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.
Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
