MARION H. DAVIS SR.

Marion H. Davis Sr., 90, widower of Julia "Judy" Kirby Davis, died on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late William Robert Davis Sr. and Gladys Wells Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He retired from Sumter Dairies with 40 years of service.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Marion H. "Buddy" Davis Jr. (Patricia) and Larry G. Davis Sr., both of Sumter; four grandchildren, Nina Davis Whorton (Josh), Larry Glenn Davis Jr., Rebecca Hardee Niswonger (Patrick) and David Benson Hardee; four great-grandchildren, Maclane Joshua Whorton, Kendall Essie Schlager, Matthew Niswonger and Joshua Niswonger; and a brother, Charles Davis (May) of Sumter.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Dr. S. Perry Davis Sr., William Robert Davis Jr. and Richard Gordon Davis; and one sister, Elizabeth Davis Ardis.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Stephen Williams officiating.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
