New Harmony Presbytery's free concert at Morris College to feature David LaMotte, gospel rapper Incognita

New Harmony Presbytery invites the public to a free concert featuring songwriter, speaker and author David LaMotte and gospel rap recording artist Incognita.

The free concert is open to the public and will be held from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in the Morris College Auditorium of the W.H. Neal-Iola Jones Fine Arts Center, 100 College St. Donations for Hurricane Helene relief will be received. Free pizza and drinks will be provided to Morris students at 6:15 p.m.

According to LaMotte's website, he has released 13 full-length CDS and has published four books, including two children's books. With his wife, Deanna, David founded PEG Partners, a nonprofit organization that supports mentoring, education and artistic expression in Guatemala. He also serves as a consultant on Peace and Justice for the North Carolina Council of Churches and served as clerk of the AFSC Nobel Peace Prize Nominating Task Group. New Harmony Presbytery will also hold a worship service at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Morris College Auditorium. LaMotte and the Morris College Gospel Choir will be featured.
