Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify suspects in a Thursday morning burglary.

Around 5 a.m. on Feb. 15, three individuals were seen on security video entering an ABC store at 33250 N Main St. (U.S. 15 North and Foxworth Mill). The individuals were seen taking several cases of alcohol and several bottles of liquor, valued at $4,000-$5,000 total, according to Mark Bordeaux, public information officer with the sheriff’s office. They were also seen taking a cash register that held “a large sum of money,” Bordeaux said.

The suspects were driving a small red sedan-type vehicle that was parked behind a building across the street from the business before 5 a.m. and leaving at about 5:30 a.m., Bordeaux said.

Video footage collected by deputies, including the Crime Scene Unit, indicates the suspects were Black males with one individual wearing camouflage pants, a hoodie and a ski mask; another wearing a light-colored hoodie with light-colored pants and a ski mask; and the third individual, who was of small stature, wearing light-colored clothing, Bordeaux described.

Anyone with information that may be helpful to this investigation is asked to contact the sheriff's office at (803) 436-2000 during regular business hours, submit tips anonymously at p3tips.com or by downloading the P3 Tips app for mobile devices.
