Sumter man charged with 3 counts of attempted murder
A man was arrested on Monday after allegedly attempting to harm two individuals in a residence and another individual in a vehicle in the 900 block of Franklin Lane on Jan. 3, according to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
Ron Terrance McGee, 28, was charged with three counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into a dwelling, discharging a weapon into a vehicle while occupied and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
McGee reportedly fired a weapon into a residence with a 22-year-old male and a 27-year-old female inside.
The 27-year-old female reported that she has had ongoing problems with McGee and had an active Order of Protection against him.
On the same night and at the same location, McGee also fired a weapon into a motor vehicle occupied by a 23-year-old male.
