Sumter Police charge 6 in drug-related sting

Several months of investigation has led to the arrest of six people on cocaine charges in Sumter.

The investigation, coordinated by the Sumter Police Department’s Organized Crime and Vice Control Unit, focused on reported illegal activity at 107 Palmetto St. according to a news release from Tonyia McGirt, public information officer. With information gathered during the investigation, police officers were able to obtain a warrant and search the residence at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Six Sumterites were taken into custody and charged after officers found 20.4 grams of cocaine and a stolen firearm.

Each of the following is charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within a half mile of a school and possession of a stolen weapon:

• Charles Michael Bradley, 63, of Lincoln Avenue

• Angela Davis Debrum, 45, of Cecil Street

• Andrea Teresa Golden, 51, of East College Street

• Ruben O’Neal Perry, 56, of Robert Perry Road

• Rachell Francia Randolph, 42, of Palmetto Street

• Juan Chavis Tindal, 41, of Manning Avenue

The suspects are being held at Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
