Sumter police looking for robbery suspects

Sumter police are working to identify two men whose images were captured while robbing a jewelry store, according to information released from the Sumter Police Department Monday night.

Jewelry Wholesale, 41 E. Wesmark Boulevard, was robbed just

before 4:45 p.m. Monday. Four employees were in the store when two men with a handgun entered the store and demanded them to handover their personal belongings, including jewelry and wallets and purses. The men also took an undetermined amount of jewelry from the store.

They then fled on foot toward the Sumter Mall. It is unclear if a get-away vehicle was involved.

No one was injured in the incident.

One of robbers is described as wearing black shorts and a black shirt. He stands between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall and weighs between 200-215 lbs. The other is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 165 lbs. Both are between 25 and 35 years old.
