Sumter High School Principal Anamaria Sandor, Lemira Elementary School Principal Stephanie Gregg and Alice Drive Elementary School Principal Eric Masaitis have successfully completed the South Carolina School Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI).
In partnership with the Truist Leadership Institute, the South Carolina Department of Education developed and implemented this rigorous seven-month institute designed specifically for veteran principals.
The cohort focused on strengthening leadership capacity in three critical areas: Instructional Leadership, Leading Change and Engagement and Motivational Strategies. The experience included immersive learning through Socratic seminars, simulations, case studies, inquiry cycles, 360° feedback, coaching and collaborative problem-solving.
Three sessions were conducted by Truist Leadership Institute, including one in Greensboro, North Carolina, with remaining sessions held in Columbia at the Office of Educator Effectiveness and Leadership Development.
Each cohort included approximately 24 educators representing diverse schools and communities across the state. With Instructional Leadership at its core, this experience equipped our principals with advanced strategies to navigate challenges, lead change effectively, and elevate teaching and learning in their buildings.
Join us in congratulating these leaders for their continued commitment to growth and to serving students at the highest level.
