Sumter Today: The YMCA awards its top honor of the year

The Sumter Family YMCA is more than a gym. Its team strives to connect with the community and help provide critical services in the areas of youth development and healthy living, and they’ve had some notable growth in the last year. Board and staff members got together this week for their annual meeting, where they reviewed the financial and community impact they had in 2019. This meeting is also a time when they hand out their most prestigious awards, including volunteer and employee of the year, and at the end, the Humanitarian of the Year.
