Sumter Today: The Inspire Festival kicks off with a Shrimp Feast

The Sumter County Museum holds a shrimp feast every year as a fundraiser for its programming and to bring the community together, but this year's shrimp feast was special for a new reason. A brand new festival called Inspire Festival brought a handful of weekend activities, both new and annual, together in honor of Roger Ackerman, a late member of the community who supported the arts. The events this weekend supported organizations like the museum and other arts groups.
