Sumter woman allegedly steals cellphones from Dollar General, gets a call from justice

Aubri R. Morra, 28, of 30 Caraway Court in Sumter, was arrested Jan. 5 and charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking two cellphones from a Dollar General. Each of the phones was valued at $49.99 at the store in the 5600 block of Broad Street on Aug. 26, 2018. A news release from the Sumter County Sheriff's Office states Morra acted with a male co-defendant when the cellphone packaging was removed, and the packaging was left in another aisle.

The release does not include information about the co-defendant. Morra was released from Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center on a $2,125 personal recognizance bond Jan. 15.
