Frierson wins Clarendon County District 2 seat in special election

Delaney Kay Frierson is the newly elected councilmember to Clarendon County Council, according to unofficial election results in the council District 2 special election. 

Frierson garnered 760 votes, defeating candidate Matthew Chapman, who received 423 votes.

The results will remain unofficial until Friday, May 15, pending certification by Clarendon County Board of Voter Registration and Elections.
