Lee County School District has designated Monday, Feb. 2, as an eLearning day for all students and staff members. All afterschool programs, field trips and extracurricular acitivites are canceled for Monday.

"Because we are an approved eLearning district, the day will not have to be made up, and lessons and assignments will be posted in each teacher’s virtual classroom. Students who are unable to participate due to power outages, limited internet access, or other unforeseen barriers will be permitted to complete their eLearning assignments at a later time," the district said.

"The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. In making decisions related to inclement weather, Lee County School District works collaboratively with the County Emergency Management Team and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department to carefully assess road conditions and local forecasts.

"Please continue to monitor our district’s website and Facebook page for updates."
