Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell released the names of the mother and son killed in a wreck on Greeleyville Highway.

Master Trooper William Bennett with South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at about 12:03 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20.

An unoccupied Western Star truck with a trailer carrying logs was disabled in the northbound lane of Greeleyville Highway. A 2015 Toyota Sienna, carrying two occupants, was traveling north on the highway when it struck a log on the trailer, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, Bennett said.

Both occupants in the Sienna were pronounced dead on scene.

Blackwell identified the victims as Heather Lynn Strebeck, 38, and her 13-year-old son, both of Manning.

Next of kin has been notified.

An investigation is ongoing by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
