ELIZABETH CATHERINE MAIER RYGALSKI
Elizabeth Catherine Maier Rygalski, age 97, beloved wife of the late Telesfor Rygalski, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility.
She was born and raised in Pittsburgh by her parents, the late Adolph Maier and Anna Evans Maier. She loved the city and traveled back to visit as often as possible. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. She loved arts and crafts, crocheting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her family. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Rygalski and his wife, Dale, and Dave Rygalski and his wife, Connie, all of Sumter; four grandchildren, Eric Rygalski, Dave Rygalski, Greg Griffin and Jeff Griffin; and one great-grandchild, William Rygalski.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Rygalski; five brothers; and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 4 to 5 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
