Gary E. Thynes, 61, was born on Aug. 5, 1959, in Cottonwood County, Minnesota, to the late Gene and Jeanette Thynes, whom he reunited with upon his death on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, in Newberry.
Gary lived in Sumter most of his life.
He is survived by his children, Emileigh (Adam), Gary II, Ryanne (Justin) and Mary (Jordy); grandchildren, DJ, Dayleigh, Anzleigh, Camdyn, Bella, Dax, Jaise, Arleigh, Teagan and Noriel; as well as his siblings, Jason (Judi), Jennifer, Chris (Paula) and Amy (Mark).
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church, 5546 Paxville Highway, Manning.
