Irvin Hannah, 63, husband of Ruby Johnson Hannah, transitioned to his eternal home on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at his home.

Born on June 23, 1955, in Florence County, he was a son of the late Josh and Pearlie Mae Bryant Hannah. He attended Florence County Public Schools and later finished his education in the Sumter County School District. He was a carpenter for many years throughout Sumter County. He worked with and for Lincoln Brock and Josh Neal Construction Co. and many others.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Ruby J. Hannah; a daughter, Zuelda Williams-Smith of Dalzell; two sons, Anthony (Katie) Williams of Lake City and Wayne Johnson of Sumter; two brothers, Ollie (Annie) Hannah and Frank (Jennifer) Williams, both of Sumter; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Robertson Hannah of Florence, Johnnie Amos of Manhattan, New York, and Mary Prince of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Oralee (Johnnie) Prince of North Carolina and Isiah (Mary Ann) Prince of Sumter; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 970 Edgar Drive, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at First Baptist Missionary Church, 219 S. Washington St., Sumter, with the Rev. George P. Windley Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Ollie J. Hannah, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 11 a.m.

The funeral procession will leave at 11:20 a.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Walker Cemetery.
