SALLIE G. WITHERSPOON BLOCKER

Sallie G. Witherspoon Blocker, 78, widow of Johnnie Blocker and daughter of the late Alexander Witherspoon and Lucille Pearson Witherspoon, was born on Jan. 1, 1946, in Sumter. She departed this life on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital, Columbia.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 2-6 p.m. at Job's Mortuary Inc.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 3249 U.S. 15 South, Sumter, with the Rev. Willie A. Wright Jr., pastor, and the Rev. Robert E. Gibson, eulogist.
Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.
Family will receive friends at the home, 6 Neal St., Sumter, from 3-7 p.m. daily.
Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
