Sumter Today: The Fantasy of Lights Begins!

December in Sumter equals a Christmas light wonderland at Swan Lake Iris Gardens.
With more than a million individual lights and a new character display added each year, the public is invited to drive through the park and get out and play around the lights.
The display is finally back to its full, festive form after a few years of construction then COVID, and to celebrate, the city brought back its traditional annual opening night ceremony.
Sumter Today is presented by Sumter Opera House, University of South Carolina Sumter, and Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
