Willie Lee Mobley was born on Dec. 18, 1942, in Pinehurst, Georgia, to the late Daisy Wilcox Mobley Davis and Monroe Mobley Sr.

In addition to his wife and parents, Willie was preceded in death by a brother, Walter B. Mobley Sr.; and two sisters, Brydie Lee Mobley Belvin and Almeta Mobley Davis.

Willie transitioned from this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Clinton, Maryland.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Jacklyn Wilhelmine Talley (Steven), Betina Mobley Bell (Christopher) and Silvia Ross; grandchildren, Steven (Julia) Talley Jr., Kevin (Amanda) Talley, Brandon Byrd, Brielle Byrd, Jade Talley, Kristina Proctor (Antione), Jordan Bell, William Ross and Dallas Bell; great-grandchildren, Jahmeire Byrd, Sophia Talley, Samiyah Proctor and Sommer Talley; four brothers, M L Mobley, Monroe Mobley Jr., James Edward Mobley and Andrew Mobley; sisters, Viola Askew, Calreatha Taylor, Daisy Nelson and Shirlene Davis, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 803 S. Harvin St., Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Donald H. Davis presiding and Minister Lorenzo B. Mobley, eulogist. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Funeral services are entrusted to Whites Mortuary LLC of Sumter.
