GLADYS WILLIAMS

Gladys Williams, 92, daughter of the late John Williams and Martha Roper Williams, and aunt of Frankie W. Wilson, Georgette W. Sanders and Martha W. Council, was born on Jan. 30, 1934, in Sumter. She departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Montefiore Medical Center-Henry and Lucy Moses Division, Bronx, New York.

Special relatives leave to cherish her memories are nieces Frankie W. Wilson, Georgette W. Sanders and Martha W. Council; and special cousins, Pernell Phillips and Lloyd Williams.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.

Graveside services will follow immediately afterward at Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.

Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
