CAMDEN — A graveside funeral service for Ronnie Hinson Hudson, 89, was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, at Quaker Cemetery, 713 Meeting St., Camden. The Rev. Mark Hopkins officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).

Ronnie was born March 22, 1937, in Camden to the late Horace G. Hudson and Bessie Hinson Hudson. He played varsity football at Camden High School. Ronnie served in the United States Marine Reserves, then went on to college, graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in business management. He began his career as an accountant for Sumter Cabinet Company; during the next three decades he played an instrumental role in the growth and development of one of South Carolina’s elite furniture manufacturing businesses. At the time of his early retirement, he was the president and CEO of Korn Industries.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Ann Carlton Hudson, of Camden; children, Keith Brian Hudson of Lugoff, Kimn Carlton-Smith (Jennifer Reay) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren Brian Blanton, Charles Thomas Hudson (Gabriella) and Whitley Hudson Cooper (Connor); and great-grandchildren Jack Blanton, Dakota Blanton and Charlotte Piper Hudson.

Other than his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his son Bruce Kevin Hudson and his sister, Nancy Hudson Vicent.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
